Q1. Why does my ledger balance not tally with the Ageing Report?

Why is the message "opening balance as per ledger does not tally with previous years pending Invoice Amount" coming in Ageing Reports and Due statements ?

Ans1. This is because your previous year pending sales and purchases have more or less bills and that total Bill Amount is not tallying with ledger opening balance.

In order to rectify ;
Run Incense or SilkWorm Installation.
Select "Previous year Pending Sales or Purchases" from Rectification menu.
Select the Customer/Supplier from the list.

If the balance due is more than Ledger Opening Balance Delete unwanted by right click and selecting the menu Or reduce/increase the amount recieved until the total bill amount is same as the Ledger Opening Balance. You can also add new bills. When the total amount balance and Ledger Opening Balance tally your Due statement and Ageing Report will be correct.

Q2. Why is the printer not skipping the page properly ?

Why do all charectors on the right of the page not printing ?

Ans 2. This is because your printer paper setting is not correct. Your printer should support 10 * 12 paper size or 15 * 12 paper size.

To set the paper size in WIN95 or WIN98
Select "Printers" in Settings, right click on your printer and select "Properties" from the menu.

In the menu that is shown click on paper at the top. Scroll to the right in the paper sizes shown. Click on "Custom".

In the User defined size form give the width as 1500 and length as 1200 and set the unit to .01 inches. If you are using an 89 column printer set the width to 1000 instead of 1500.

To set paper size in WIN2000 and WINXP
You must create a new paper size as follows

From the File menu select "Server Properties". Click "Create a new form". Set the Units to English. For paper size give the width to 13.4 inches give the height as 12 inches. Type a name for this in the "Form description for" field. Click "Save form" and close the window.

Now right click on your printer and select properties from the menu. Click "Device Setting".Select the name you gave "FOR form description for" for all the trays supported by your printer.Click Ok to close the window.
